This zone is the undisputed tourism capital of Zimbabwe, home to the magnificent Victoria Falls and the country's largest national park. It is also the nation's energy hub, with massive coal deposits and thermal power stations.

Zone Profile: Binga - The Fisheries & Cultural Heartland
Binga is the heart of Zimbabwe's kapenta fishing industry on Lake Kariba. It is also home to a rich and unique Tonga culture, which presents untapped potential for cultural tourism. The district is the anchor for our provincial flagship project, ZITIT Fisheries.

Our strategy is to build a vertically integrated fishing business and to pioneer the development of sustainable cultural tourism. We will create value from the lake's resources while preserving and promoting local heritage.

Establish a network of cold rooms and refrigerated trucks to transport fresh and frozen fish from Binga to markets across the country. Justification: A critical support enterprise for ZITIT Fisheries that solves a major logistical challenge and can be offered as a service to other operators. - Project Proposal: ZITIT Tonga Cultural Village & Lodge Feasibility Stage
Develop an authentic cultural village and lodge that offers tourists an immersive experience of the Tonga way of life, including crafts, music, and cuisine. Justification: A unique tourism product that diversifies the provincial portfolio and empowers the local community.
Zone Profile: Lupane & Tsholotsho - The Forestry & Gas Frontier
As the provincial capital, Lupane is a growing administrative center. Both districts are rich in indigenous hardwood forests (teak, mukwa) and have recently emerged as a new frontier for natural gas exploration, presenting future energy opportunities.

Our proposals focus on sustainable exploitation of the region's timber resources and positioning ZITIT to benefit from the emerging gas industry. We will invest in value-addition for timber and develop services for the energy sector.

These districts are well-known for their resilient cattle breeds and a strong tradition of livestock farming. They are also part of the region's rich gold belt, with significant activity in small and medium-scale gold mining.
